S.S. Girls’ college, Gondia is the first and the only Women’s college of Gondia District. It was established in 1970 as S. S. Mahila Mahavidyalaya where S.S. Stands for Shrimati Sarswatibai, the late Mother of Shri Chintamanraoji Pimplapure of Sagar, whose donation and our Founder President Late Shri Manoharbhai Patel’s untiring efforts made this dream materialize.
Later it was re-christened as S. S. Girls’ College, Gondia. Much water has flown down the river since then and thousands of girls have obtained higher education from this institution. It caters not only to the urban but also to the rural and tribal population.
The college is armed with sincere and hard working teaching and non-teaching staff.
