
Home Economics Department and the Incubation Center of S.S. Girls’ College, Gondia, operated by Gondia Education Society, and Pilot mashroom farm &academy,
At- Bamhani, pauni, dist.- Bhandara jointly organized Mushroom Cultivation Training for students from 10 March to 20 March 2026.
The main objective of this training was to develop entrepreneurial skills among students, making them self-reliant and encouraging their interest in the field of entrepreneurship. Over one months, students received both practical and theoretical knowledge on mushroom cultivation from Rupali Gajbhiye of Pilot Mushroom Farm and Academy, Bhandara.
During the training, students were given hands-on experience in mushroom production, including:
- Sowing mushroom seeds,
- Preparing compost fertilizer,
- Maintaining the required temperature,
- Understanding the growth cycle of mushrooms,
- Harvesting mushrooms,
- Packaging and marketing the produce.
At the end of the training, certificates were awarded to the participants.
The organisers of this training were Dr.Gokula Amit Bhalerao (Head of the Home Economics Department and Incubation Center Coordinator), along with Dr. Madhuri Khobragade, Prof. Rashmi Randive, and Prof. Deepti Brahmankar.
Total 18 student were benifited by the training.
