About the Department :

History as a discipline is a dynamic and growing field, in India and outside. Department of History was established in 1970.The Department offers B.A. course. The Department has been involved with various academic and other activities like lecture series, classroom seminar, study tour, exhibitions, gender equality program, communal harmony program and other student enrichment programs.

Facilities

Library Collection of nearly             books with reference books and           periodicals and journals, available in the college central library.

The Department has a small reference library. Some books have been donated by the central library and others are from personal collection. Books are issued to the students.

Academic Programme:

Department of History offers UG Course (B.A.) in History.Medium of instructions-(a) Hindi Medium, (b) Marathi Medium.

Teaching Paper titles

  1. FYBA I-History of India(From Earliest Time to 1761 AD)
  2. SYBA II-History of India(From 1761 AD to 1971 AD)
  3. TYBA III-History of Modern World (From 18th to 20th Century)

Admissions:

Admissions to the B.A. Course are as per Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj University, Nagpur rules. Notification of dates of submission of forms are issued by the college, forms may be submitted to the office during working hours.120 students are admitted every year to B.A.( Part I) Hindi Medium and Marathi Medium each. Eligibility for admission is HSSC passed with minimum 35% marks.
