Reservation For Admission Procedure

At S. S. Girls’ College, we are committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity in education. As per the guidelines set by the Maharashtra government, we have implemented a fair and transparent reservation policy to ensure that all sections of society have equal access to quality education. Our reservation policy covers various categories to support and uplift students from marginalized communities.

Reservation Categories:

Scheduled Castes (SC): S. S. Girls’ College reserves a certain percentage of seats for students belonging to Scheduled Castes. SC applicants are required to provide valid documents certifying their SC status during the admission process.

Scheduled Tribes (ST): Seats are also reserved for students belonging to Scheduled Tribes. ST candidates must submit appropriate documents confirming their ST status at the time of admission.

Other Backward Classes (OBC): A specific percentage of seats are reserved for candidates from Other Backward Classes. OBC applicants need to present relevant OBC category certificates issued by the competent authorities.

Special Backward Classes (SBC): SBC students are entitled to a certain number of reserved seats. Applicants claiming SBC reservation must provide valid documents supporting their SBC status.

Vimukta Jati and Nomadic Tribes (VJ-NT): Seats are reserved for students belonging to Vimukta Jati and Nomadic Tribes. VJ-NT candidates must produce appropriate documents certifying their VJ-NT status during the admission process.

Economically Weaker Section (EWS): In accordance with the government guidelines, a percentage of seats are reserved for students from economically weaker sections. Applicants seeking EWS reservation must produce the necessary income and category certificates.

Differently Abled (DA): S. S. Girls’ College is dedicated to providing accessible education to differently-abled students. We reserve seats for candidates falling under this category, and they need to provide disability certificates issued by a recognized medical authority.

Our admission procedure offers two options for candidates to apply: Student can either submit their application online through the college website or fill out an offline form at the college admission counter. During the application process, applicants must specify their reservation category. Subsequently, based on the eligibility criteria and document verification, the college will release category wise merit list. Once selected in the merit list, candidates need to submit all necessary original documents for verification. Finally, upon successful document verification, students must pay the required fees to confirm their admission. We maintain a transparent and inclusive approach, adhering to the reservation policy as per the Maharashtra government’s guidelines.
